What is a 3PL?
A 3PL handles part or all of an e-commerce logistics chain. Instead of renting a warehouse, buying racking, hiring staff, maintaining printers and managing consumables, the merchant uses an existing logistics infrastructure.
At Packflow, that covers storage, picking, preparation, packaging, handover to Swiss Post and tracking synchronisation in Shopify.
3PL or in-house logistics?
In-house logistics can look cheap at low volume, but it includes hidden costs: rent, unused space, recruitment, holidays and absences, planning, multiple box sizes, paper, ink or thermal supplies, labels, tape, void fill and daily postal handovers.
A 3PL turns much of that fixed cost and operational complexity into a variable cost. Packflow has no monthly fixed fee: you pay only for what is actually processed.
Why a Swiss 3PL?
If your customers are in Switzerland, Swiss inventory enables domestic shipping, local tracking and local returns. Goods already imported into Switzerland do not create a customs-clearance step for the final customer when receiving a Packflow shipment.
